emak23 Scars by Justin Utley is amazing album from beginning to end. It can you have dancing or rocking out one moment then moment later you’re listening to pure raw emotions within the lyrics. Justin definitely hit out of the ball park!!! Favorite tracks for me “Heresay” & “This is the End” but that’s just me.
Cheers to the your continued success Justin Big Lug. Scars was definitely WORTH the WAIT!! Favorite track: This Is The End (I Don't Wanna Forgive You).

Scars 04:43
I had a friend, he used to say he's waiting for a better day He watched the clock but in dismay he saw his time just slip away He never thought he'd live to tell He was in a living hell Well, I'll show you mine if you will show me yours I'm not talking dirty minds I mean your scars The ones you keep from healing The kind that keep on bleeding All the secrets you’ve been keeping from the start Let me see your scars Well Once upon another life I was like that friend of mine I couldn’t see through the haze or past the nose on my face I played the part, I towed the line It broke my heart and blew my mind Said I’ll show you mine if you show me yours So let down your guard and show me all your scars All those lies you keep believing All the signs you’re just not seeing Cuz they’re hanging from the ceiling of your heart Let me see your scars Say goodbye to a life of regretting The times, yeah the ones that you won’t be forgetting Applies to a life you’re reflecting They shook you till you wanted to give up They took almost everything that you’re made of And look now you’re the one that they’re afraid of Let me see your scars I can hear my mother say “Go break the rules and seize the day” “Stop living in yesterday,” and “Hey, why are the cute ones always gay?” “You’ve come so far and embraced your past, You’re meant to be, and your built to last.” Well I never thought I’d ever get this far And make my life worth living with the scars The kind that no one’s seein’ Between the lines of reason Don’t hide behind the beauty that you are Even Galileo thanked his lucky stars Be proud of where you’re from Be proud of who you are and all your scars All your scars.

Hearsay! 04:10
I’m not the fool you thought I would be Put on my boots Pulled up my roots Bit through my leash and set myself free Those ain’t my rules I’m not confused Whatever they say about me All their sticks and stones Whatever they say about me Is never what the mirror shows I’m not the tool they want you to see They’re over there Pretending to care They make a mess and you clean it for free They shake their fists & kids slit their wrists So whatever they say about me All that shit they throw Whatever they say about me Is never what the future holds Why You tryin to give me grief I’m just doing what they told me And tellin you my story If I’m swaying your belief Meet me out the side door We’ll take back the dreams they sold you for You say, I say They say, we say Everybody else say You say, I say They say, we say Everything is hearsay Watch out for who you choose to believe Sometimes a truce Is just a noose Whatever they say about me Still gunna give ‘em hell Whatever they say about me Its only cuz they hate themselves Why you gettin in my face Sent a letter to my daddy and It made him kinda happy So I’m here to put you in your place It true that I sold my soul To peace and love and rock & roll So you say I say They say we say Everybody else say You say I say They say we say Everything is hearsay Whatever they say about me Everything is hearsay Whatever they say about me Everything is hearsay

Pardon this interruption Of your favorite production This might be breaking news The world really isn’t ending But I just can’t keep pretending This is what I would choose And if this had only been a test Then it would be easier to rest Cuz I don’t want to forgive you I just wanna forget That I ever knew you Or that we ever met I’m going to take an eraser And make sure This never ever happens again Well this game is over Baby this is the end Do I give my gratitude For all this solitude Just to make it easier for you But I object, and reject, The way that you broke me and cleaned up the mess Was it your consolation To leave me in isolation I’m glad you got this off your chest And who’s that underneath your desk And I don’t want to forgive you I just wanna forget That I ever knew you Or that we ever met I’m going to take an eraser And make sure This never ever happens again Well this game is over Baby this is the end I’m aching now And breaking down And finding out You’re everything I’m not I almost drowned I'm learning how To hold my ground Cuz it’s everything I got I don’t want to forgive you I just wanna forget That I ever knew you Or that we ever met I’m going to take an eraser And make sure This never ever happens again Well this game is over Baby this is the end

I’ve taken all my medication Cuz I’m not feeling very well And if it’s any indication I’m tired of living in this hell Hello hello Is there anybody out there? I keep on filling this prescription I keep on buying what they sell Cuz I’m not fitting their description Made me promise not to tell Hello hello Is there anybody out there? Wake me up From this American Nightmare In a power position They got us conditioned With social feeds and ammunition Scream all you want Cuz there’s nobody listening They control your motivation Intimidate you in disguise With an open invitation Using fear to keep you blind Hello hello Is there anybody out there? They’ll tell you that I’m toxic That I’m poisoning your mind But the freedom is contagious Keep the shackles as a prize Hello hello Is there anybody out there? Wake me up From this American Nightmare In a power position They got us conditioned With guns and God and ammunition Pray all you want Cuz there’s nobody listening Wake me up from this American Nightmare Wake me up from this American Nightmare Hello hello is there anybody out there? Wake me up from this American Nightmare Hello hello is there anybody out there? Wake me up from this American Nightmare

Tell me what went wrong I’ve been waiting far too long Now the vultures start to feed On the corner where you left me Choking on your secrets And cutting all my ties To be the best you ever had And nothing you despise You were everything I wanted Now I’m back to where I started Embrace me Replace me Erase me Embrace me Replace me Erase me Next time I’ll be Better than you left me I was patient in your silence That Hope was still alive Is this really for the best Or was this really just a lie I gave you all the best of me Now no one wants the rest of me Embrace me Replace me Erase me Embrace me Replace me Erase me U took the memory You took my sanity Is this the end of me? Are you my enemy? Don't say we'll still be friends That's not what I intended Said we’d grow old together That won’t happen Now, or ever ... never. Embrace me Replace me Erase me

Guess that’s all It’s over now The dust has settled On the ground War is over Thought we were fine Thought we made it through The worst of times You’re always on my mind I close my eyes and count to 10 Breathing out and breathing in Letting go of what we’ve been Then I see your face again I’m not ok. I can’t pretend It hurts too much to be your friend Can’t go back to where we’ve been Get out from underneath my skin No more secrets No more lies No more devils In disguise Hearts can change That's not a crime But I can’t feel What’s left of mine When you’re always on my mind I close my eyes and count to 10 Breathing out and breathing in Letting go of what we’ve been Then I see your face again I’m not ok. I can’t pretend It hurts too much to be your friend Can’t go back to where we’ve been Get out from underneath my skin I wish you’d stop behaving Like its my heart that you were saving You spark the kindling of desire I keep on walking through the fire Well you never went the distance Took the path of least resistance Kept on sending me a message On a sword with double edges Was I simply just an option Just to satisfy your conscience Oh, you stole that silver lining I was hoping I’d be finding I close my eyes and count to 10 Breathing out and breathing in Can't go back to where we've been I'm letting go.. Get out from underneath my skin Don't wanna see your face again I'm letting go of what we've been Get out, get out, get out from underneath my skin Get out, get out, get out from underneath my skin

I had a dream I had the best dream of my life And now I'm waking I gave my heart I gave my heart to someone else And now its breaking Even with luck On my side No matter how many times I've tried I end up losing Every time I'm already down There's nowhere else to go but up The scales are tipping now And I'm already down I made a wish I made a wish upon a star And now its falling I try to be nice I gave my number to a troll And now he's calling When I want To impress All you see is one hot mess I end up getting More obsessed I'm already down There's nowhere else to go but up The scales are tipping now And I'm already down Well, there used to be significance Between fate and coincidence There's not much of a difference It all ends the same If abandoning the ignorance And praying for deliverance With well intended innocence Did nothing to change Tell me Who's to blame In this Messed up game Cuz I'm already down There's nowhere else to go but up The scales are tipping now And I'm already down There's nowhere else to go but up The scales are tipping now And I'm already down

My Drug 03:47
Boring I’ve heard this story Does nothing for me Takes something more To get me on board You don’t have think tastes just like candy Mix it with a drink Veuve Clicquot & Brandy Keep coming back always ends badly Can’t get enough Love is my drug Covered in sweat Visibly shaken Hurtin for more And my reputation Dare didn’t work Sorry Ms Reagan I’m high as fuck Love is my drug My shortcut up to heaven Won’t slow me down Love is my drug My shortcut up to heaven Don’t turn around Love is my drug Packing the ice In mid-September It's a beautiful Vice When we’re together Speed down the street In lipstick and leather I like it rough Love is my drug My shortcut up to heaven Won’t slow me down Love is my drug My shortcut up to heaven Don’t turn around Love is my drug I’m not addicted Or afflicted, I feel fine I’m unrestricted I can quit it anytime Just as predicted Contradicted my own mind But if I admit it I’m committed of my crime My shortcut up to heaven Won’t slow me down Love is my drug My shortcut up to heaven Don’t turn around Love is my drug

The truth of the matter No matter how long been chasing disaster Its time that I moved on For the next best mistake for my heart to make Was last night the last time Or the time before last I really don’t remember Where I was going so fast Or who’s the next stop on the way Well I’m leaving all the madness behind me The danger it might come back to bite me Stop waiting Waiting for love to find me Love will find me Its easy to say but its harder to do To make a clean break And still be shatterproof How many times can I walk away Well I’m leaving all the madness behind me The danger it might come back to bite me Stop waiting Waiting for love to find me Love will find me I don’t care how far I can run If I can’t see the end and there's no end in sight I can’t sit and stare at the sun And expect in the end that it won’t burn my eyes I'll find my way back in the dark and hear all the cries in the night: "Will somebody somewhere won’t somebody turn on a light?" While I’m living in the future I’m tripping in the past In my review mirror You stopped me in my tracks Hey, where have you been all my life? Well I’m leaving all the madness behind me The danger it just stares on despite me Stop waiting Waiting for love She's waiting He's waiting for love We're all waiting I'll stop waiting for love to find me Love will find me Love will find me

My bags are packed I'm on my way Searching for a new start Forget about the words they say Done tearing me apart Its time to find my wings and something to believe in See what tomorrow brings When the sun is shining in your eyes And the stars are falling from the skies Soar higher, we're survivors All I ever want, the air I need Here I feel alive, I'm breaking free Soar higher, we're survivors Out on the edge I crash and fall And it only makes me stronger Have no regrets I'm standing tall I won't take it any longer My new life has begun and from this moment on I won't hide who I've become When the sun is shining in your eyes And the stars are falling from the skies Soar higher, we're survivors All I ever want, the air I need Here I feel alive, I'm breaking free Soar higher, we're survivors With no limits, and no boundaries You're indestructible This is your moment, enjoy the ride You're learning to fly You're learning to fly All I ever want, and all I ever need I feel alive, and I'm breaking free We're survivors We're survivors
