about
In 2017, Swedish songwriting duo Ylva & Linda of Universal Music teamed up with Justin Utley and recorded Survivors as an official entry for the Eurovision 2017 song contest. The following year, Utley, in partnership with pop producer Taylor Hartley and London-based Abbey Road Studios, transformed Survivors into a new powerful, soaring pop anthem.
lyrics
My bags are packed I'm on my way
Searching for a new start
Forget about the words they say
Done tearing me apart
Its time to find my wings and something to believe in
See what tomorrow brings
When the sun is shining in your eyes
And the stars are falling from the skies
Soar higher, we're survivors
All I ever want, the air I need
Here I feel alive, I'm breaking free
Soar higher, we're survivors
Out on the edge I crash and fall
And it only makes me stronger
Have no regrets I'm standing tall
I won't take it any longer
My new life has begun and from this moment on
I won't hide who I've become
When the sun is shining in your eyes
And the stars are falling from the skies
Soar higher, we're survivors
All I ever want, the air I need
Here I feel alive, I'm breaking free
Soar higher, we're survivors
With no limits, and no boundaries
We're indestructible
This is your moment, enjoy the ride
You're learning to fly
All I ever want, the air I need
Here I feel alive, I'm breaking free
Soar higher, we're survivors
We're survivors
